Dr. Robinson has built an impressive and deeply respected career in obstetrics and gynecology. His educational journey began at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia.

Following his graduation, Dr. Robinson completed his residency at Richland Memorial Hospital through the University of South Carolina School of Medicine’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. During this time, he demonstrated outstanding leadership, serving as the Administrative Chief Resident for the department.

Since becoming a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996, Dr. Robinson has been a prominent figure in women’s healthcare. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists and a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.

His peers and the broader medical community continually recognize his dedication. Most notably, the University of South Carolina recently named Dr. Robinson the 2025 Distinguished Humanitarian Alumni of the Year. This prestigious award highlights his unwavering commitment to patient care, community service, and medical excellence.

Dr. Robinson’s commitment to Hartsville extends far beyond the walls of his medical practice. Throughout his career, he has taken on numerous leadership roles to help shape local organizations. He previously served as the Board President for the YMCA and spent over a decade on the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Alumni Board.

Currently, he serves on the Board of Trustees for both Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center and Coker College. His long-standing dedication to these institutions highlights a genuine desire to improve the lives of his neighbors, secure better educational opportunities, and support the region’s overall growth.
